Short CET Abstract : The value that an aftercare appointment can create for a practice often goes unrecognised. The dynamic approach of this course from the Practice Academy helps practitioners see the value of an aftercare appointment and moreover, realise its benefits. Enhancing the approach to an aftercare appointment can not only help the practice gain incremental value from contact lens patients, but also build loyalty and minimise the number of patients dropping out of contact lenses. The benefits of silicone hydrogel lenses are discussed in this course, offering an up-to-date comparison of the latest silicone hydrogel materials and designs currently available from several manufacturers. Those attending will be provided with additional and complementary tools such as a contact lens questionnaires to help the practitioner better understand individual patient needs. To help embed learnings and gain lasting value from this course, practitioners will be encouraged to set themselves objectives focussed on proactively upgrading patients to healthier, more comfortable contact lenses.
