Short CET Abstract : With the evolution of soft contact lens materials and designs the fitting characteristics of the lenses have also changed. This practical workshop will allow delegates, within small tutorial groups, assess the fit of modern lenses and determine whether the lens fit is good. Delegates will also have the opportunity to discuss within supervised peer-discussions how to modify the fit of lenses to improve the fit.

Author Short CV(s) : Kamlesh Chauhan BSc (Hons), PhD, MCOptom has over 20 years experience in teaching. Kamlesh has taught at under-graduate, MSc, PhD and post-graduate clinical training. He is a senior College examiner, Chair of the College's Assessment Board, Editor for the College OSCEs and part of the review group for the Scheme for Registration. Outside of the College duties he taught at Manchester university in topics including geometrical optics, statistics and research methods, contact lenses, binocular vision, instrumentation techniques, ocular disease and management and refraction. Kamlesh has also written some peer-reviewed clinical articles including the use of slit-lamps. He is currently the Head of The Vision Care Institute, UK for Johnson & Johnson Medical Ltd.
