Learning Objectives : a) Enable delegates to select appropriate lens parameters
b) Delegates will have knowledge to help them determine which lens parameters have the most impact on lens fitting characteristics
c) Delegates will have a working knowledge of how to use ocular measurements (keratometry values, eye sze values, lid and tear characteristics) to determine lens parameters
Author Short CV(s) : Kamlesh Chauhan BSc (Hons), PhD, MCOptom has over 20 years experience in teaching. Kamlesh has taught at under-graduate, MSc, PhD and post-graduate clinical training. He is a senior College examiner, Chair of the College's Assessment Board, Editor for the College OSCEs and part of the review group for the Scheme for Registration. Outside of the College duties he taught at Manchester university in topics including geometrical optics, statistics and research methods, contact lenses, binocular vision, instrumentation techniques, ocular disease and management and refraction. Kamlesh has also written some peer-reviewed clinical articles including the use of slit-lamps. He is currently the Head of The Vision Care Institute, UK for Johnson & Johnson Medical Ltd.

a) High quality slit lamps with built in filters such as Wratten 12 and variable neutral density filters b) High definition cameras on all slit lamps with two video monitors in each of 6 consulting rooms c) Keratometers will be available in each clinic room d) There is an ability to record images and video by delegates so that they can return to work with their own material (pen drives to store the images will be provided without cost to delegates)
