A hands-on workshop using condensing lenses and a slit lamp and/or a headband binocular indirect ophthalmoscope to view the fundus of dilated and non dilated eyes of patients with pathology. Delegates will be guided in the examination of the central and peripheral fundus by an experienced optometrist. Different powers of lenses will be available to give delegates an appreciation of the differences in the view obtained. Using video capture, the relative advantages of each lens will be reinforced. |

This workshop CET will be delivered in various different locations across Scotland. In each location the workshop will be delivered by two of the following individuals. In each case, there will be 3 workshop leaders for a maximum of 12 people.

Dan Rosser is a Senior Optometrist at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and works part time in community optometric practice.
Ian Cameron BSc MCOptom
Is an optometrist in private practice who carries out a regular clinical session at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary
William A. Holmes MSc MCOptom
William Holmes is an Optometrist with special responsibility for the Colour Vision Clinic at Manchester University. William is also a clinical tutor and examiner for the Department of Optometry in Refraction and Contact Lenses.
Malcolm McPherson BSc MCOptom
Malcolm is an independent optometrist practising in Aberdeen. He is a past Chairman of Grampian Optometrists, vice-chairman of Grampian Area Optometric Committee and a member of NHS Grampian Area Clinical Forum.
Francesca Marchetti BSc MCOptom
Francesca is a self-employed optometrist working in the West Midlands/Warwickshire area, for both multiple and independent practices. She has previously worked as a part time lecturer/clinical demonstrator at Aston University.
Peter Charlesworth MSc MCOptom
