Sunil Shah has been involved in refractive surgery for 10 years and has widely lectured and published on it. He is a consultant in Birmingham with an interest in cornea and refractive surgery. He is on the council for the British Contact Lens Association and has also been on the refractive committee for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for the last 3 years. He was the president of the British Society for Refractive Surgery for 4 years. He has also contributed to the All Parliamentary Panel for Refractive Surgery. Mark Korolkiewicz graduated from Nottingham University in 1992 with a BA (Hons) in Law. This was followed by an Optometry degree from Aston University in 1996. After graduation he spent a number of years as an optometrist for Boots opticians and as a senior optometrist and senior laser optometrist for the Eye Clinic in Newcastle. This was followed by a period as professional services manager for Boots Laser Eye Clinics. He is currently clinical services manager for Ultralase at their head office in Leeds. Antonio Leccisotti graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1986 from University of Rome �La Sapienza�. He has a PhD in �Ocular Pathology� from the University of Siena and has been Chief of the Ophthalmic Department, Casa di Cura �Rugani� in Siena since 1998. He has been involved in refractive surgery for 11 years, with experience in radial and astigmatic keratotomies, excimer laser, lens exchange, and phakic IOLs. At present, he performs anterior segment and refractive surgery. His research fields are keratoconus, lens exchange, phakic IOLs, surface ablation and he has published extensively in many major international ophthalmology journals |
