Author Short CV(s) : Rebecca Petris is an aviation finance professional whose personal eyecare struggles and concerns for others experiencing similar plights prompted her to adopt eyecare patient advocacy as a vocation. She founded and runs LaserMyEye, Inc. (www.lasermyeye.org), a nonprofit foundation whose mission is to improve safety and quality standards in laser eye surgery and to assist complications patients, and works with doctors and staff to highlight ways physicians can improve patient satisfaction. Ms Petris also established and runs The Dry Eye Company (www.dryeyezone.com), whose mission is to help dry eye patients access the best possible information, medical care, treatments and products. Mark Korolkiewicz BSc (Optom) B.A.(law) MSCOptom - Clinical Services Manager. Mark graduated from Nottingham University with a degree in law in 1992 before deciding to change paths towards the more science based Optometry. Graduating from Aston University in 1996, Mark spent the next year in a pre-registration post before passing the Professional Qualifying Examinations in 1997 and being awarded the College of Optometrist's Prize based on obtaining the second highest aggregate examination results for the United Kingdom. Following a brief period of time spent working for Boots Opticians, Mark moved to the Eye Clinic in order to help set up an number of clinical ventures within the rapidly expanding company. In 1999 Mark was asked to join a small team responsible for the Eye Clinic chain of opticians branching into refractive surgery. The refractive surgery unit quickly expanded from August 2000 onwards to incorporate laser vision correction into 8 clinics throughout the UK
