Stefan Pieger, Dipl. Ing. (M.Sc.) DOB/Nationality 15.Sept.1961, Nuremberg, Germany / German Education 1982-1986: University / Polytechnic in Cologne, Germany. Specialized in Photonics (Department 'Photoinegenieurwesen') Graduated as ‘Diplom Photoingenieur’ (M.Sc.) Catharine Chisholm is a Lecturer in the Department of Optometry, City University, London. Her PhD considered the effects of intraocular light scatter and aberrations on visual performance following refractive surgery. Much of her current research within the Henry Wellcome Laboratories for Visual Sciences, employs psychophysical techniques to examine various aspects of visual performance. One such study, in collaboration with Moorfields Eye Hospital, involves a comparison of wavefront versus conventional refractive surgery. Her teaching commitments include a range of clinical subjects, along with an MSc course in refractive surgery co-management for optometrists. She is an examiner for the College of Optometrists and continues to practice as an optometrist in a private practice at weekends. She is the Immediate Past Vice President of the British Society for Refractive Surgery |
