He is involved in optometric education at both local and national level. As past chairman of Scottish Committee of Optometrists and vice-chairman of Tayside Optical Association. He has also presented talks to Optometrists on Clinical Diagnosis, Digital Imaging, Recognition of Ocular Pathology, Differentiation of Wet/Dry AMD and to General Practitioners on Ocular Pathology He is currently Course Director at the Dundee Clinical Skills Centre Dr. Caroline Cobb, Consultant Ophthamologist and Glaucoma specialist, Ninewells Hospital Dundee.
